Empowering NJ Students with Tools to Thrive Tobacco-free
With New Jersey raising the tobacco sales age to 21, many young adults addicted to nicotine are left without access to products. Nearly 99% of smokers start before age 26, making college campuses critical in addressing this public health issue. Tobacco-Free for a Healthy NJ (TFHNJ) is committed to supporting all NJ colleges and universities by providing resources, technical assistance, and a learning network to help campuses adopt 100% tobacco-free policies.

E-cigarettes Are Harmful
As cigarette use declines, e-cigarettes—like vape pens, Juul, and other devices—are gaining popularity, often without users knowing the risks. These battery-powered devices deliver nicotine, addictive and toxic, along with chemicals and heavy metals in aerosol—harmful “water vapor.”
What’s more, sweet flavors like cotton candy may seem safe, but they can lead to lifelong addiction. Despite laws banning flavored e-cigarettes and restricting sales, the health effects of inhaling these substances remain largely unknown. Vaping includes serious risk, protect yourself.
