No Menthol Sunday: A Call to Action for Health Equity

Every third Sunday in May, No Menthol Sunday mobilizes faith leaders and communities to raise awareness about the harmful impact of menthol and flavored tobacco products on Black communities. Led by The Center for Black Health & Equity, this national initiative has inspired education, advocacy, and life-changing action for over a decade.

Supporting Tobacco-free Campuses Across New Jersey

With the tobacco sales age raised to 21, many young adults addicted to nicotine are left without access—but not without support. Since 99% of smokers start before age 26, colleges and universities play a vital role in prevention. Tobacco-Free for a Healthy NJ (TFHNJ) is helping campuses adopt 100% tobacco-free policies by offering resources, technical assistance, and a statewide learning network to share best practices and drive change.

Stomp Out Youth Tobacco Use

Stop Tobacco Offenses Merchant Program or STOMP is a merchant education initiative focused on preventing youth tobacco use at the point of sale. By training retailers to properly check IDs and understand age-of-sale laws, STOMP helps reduce underage access to tobacco products. This proven, statewide program empowers communities to take action and lower non-compliance rates across New Jersey.
